A lot of people starting on their healthy hair journey don't know what the hell to do with their hair. I know when I first started I was confused and was using anything on my hair. My hair was dried, breaking off, and I didn't know what to do. I read a lot of threads on forums for about a year to find products. But the products helped the poster's hair; not mine. hey Belle!
I was wondering what exactly is co-washing? And what is your hair care regimen?

Hey Thick Chick A,
Co-washing, or Conditioner Washing, is basically washing your hair with a conditioner instead of a shampoo. Shampoos tend to be more harsh so many people opt for conditioner washing since you can do it everyday (if you choose). My regimen is pretty simple... I co-wash almost everyday (sometimes I get lazy and don't), I shampoo once a week and deep conditon once. I use a leave-in every time I co-wash and/or shampoo. I take an Iron supplement everyday since I'm anemic. I also massage my scalp and do protective styles all the time. For more co-washing info, check out the Hairology section. Thanks for posting!

Could you please share what specific products you use, the ones for this list and any others. Thanks so much!

You don't use any styling products like gel, etc.?

@Anonymous This post is super old! I do use styling gels as a natural. I use Kinky-Curly Curling Custard and Luster's Texturizer Stylin' Gel.
