Beautiful Black Hair: Real Solutions to Real Problems by Shamboosie
Although, Cathy Howse slammed this book when she reviewed it, I liked it. It was very informative when it came to the problem with No-Lye relaxers. I also loved that the author talked about what hair was and what gives kinky hair it's shape. The only thing I could say I didn't like was the fact that he kept pushing Dudley and Nexxus products because he believes they are the best. I don't agree with that since I use cheap products all the time and my hair loves it. This book would be great for those who are just starting out on their hair journey. I knew 99% of the information in the book already so it was a review for me. Oh, I forgot to add that he basically insulted hair boards by saying we don't know what we're talking about and he even inserted some off the wall quotes from a "hair board". Anyway, despite the pushing of Dudley and Nexxus products, suggesting getting hair trimmed EVERY 6 weeks, and grammar errors, it was a good read because he did provide some really helpful information.

I agree about him pushing the Nexxus and Dudley products too much. Maybe he got money from them for pushing their products? I liked his book and all, but I feel that I got more help and knowledge from the hair boards (Black Hair Media, I see you!), just my opinion.

This was the first hair care book I ever read, even before I started visiting hair boards. I agree about the Dudley and Nexxus thing, but it did kind of help me because now Humectress is a staple for me. I also would not follow his suggestion to heat style the hair daily.

Bronze, I agree. Humectress is really an amazing product. I've used it several times, but it's pricey so I choose to buy Suave conditioners.

I have tried everything to get healthier hair and I finally found a product line that works! Ladies, check out this website: http://www.sizta2sizta.com/home.htm
This is for real. I have been using Stacey's products since August of 2007 and I have had almost 3 inches of growth, my hair is hydrated and never greasy, and I only use her line. I threw everything else out!!
I got my mom to try it too. She is balding and i have seen her hair fill in quite a bit and get longer in the last 3 months. She only buys Stacey's products now too.
Take a leap of faith and at least look at the website. Decide for yourself.
If you want to see before and after pics of myself, email me at jascott20006@yahoo.com and I will be happy to send them! And no, I dont work for her. I am just a loyal customer for life!

Thanks for posting Jenny in AZ! I have heard great things about S2S. I'm glad that you found a line that works for you!
