Why is this? Every since I've been streching my relaxer (between 16 and 20 weeks) my relaxers no longer take. I keep them in the recommended time and smooth it just the same and do everything I'm supposed to do, but they don't take. I rinse my hair and its still curly/wavy only now it's dry and brittle as well. (I'm using ORS Lye). I'm so confused! I was trying to not have to go to a stylist but maybe I should just go to a pro in a few months. What do you think is going on?

Self-Relaxing can be hard because you can't really see all the new growth in the back. You can either add some oil to cut down the processing time and use a applicator brush OR you can see a professional. It's up to you. :)
