For the ladies that braid, this is for you: To get rid of those nasty chemicals found in braiding hair, soak the hair in vinegar for about an hour, rinse, and let it dry. The chemicals in braiding hair can be harsh on your hair strands, causing more harm than good. I started doing this a few years back after finding Growafrohairlong and it's worked for me. :)

Hello!
I've been wearing my hair in braid extensions for 8 yrs now. IN 2k2 I stopped using the straight hair(the one that is 3/$5) and now only use Marley hair. I had no idea that the chem in the hair is bad. Do i need to soak the Marley hair as well? Wont that vinegar smell stay in the hair ?
ALL THE BEST.

Hey likunta,

You should soak the hair in vinegar. You add about a cup of vinegar to a sink full of water and let the hair soak for an hour. After, rinse the hair with some water and hang to dry. The vinegar smell won't linger.
