When going product shopping, it can be a little overwhelming deciding what's considered a moisture product and what's considered a protein product. Well, here's some help. When looking for a moisture product, you'll usually find that it contains high amounts of glycerin(e) (or glycerol), propylene glycol, cetyl alcohol, sorbitol, panthenol, etc. Protein products usually contain high amounts of amino silk acids (or silk amino acids), milk protein, hydrolyzed wheat protein, silk protein, glycine, collagen, keratin, hydrogenated castor oil, etc. Listed below are products that are either moisture or protein:

Moisturizing Conditioners
ORS Replenishing Pak/Conditioner (Moisture & light protein)
Aussie 3 minute Miracle Deep Moisture Treatment
Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose
Suave Humectant
Nexxus Hydra Sleek
KeraCare Humecto
Miss Key 10-en-1

Moisturizing Leave-Ins
S-Curl "No Drip" Activator Moisturizer
Neutrogena Triple Moisture Silk Touch
Giovanni Direct
Lacio Lacio
Nexxus Humectress (Diluted with water)

Protein Conditioners
Nexxus KerapHix
Aubrey Organics GPB
Mane N' Tail
Silicon Mix
ORS Hair Mayo

Protein Leave-Ins
Infusium 23 Repairologie
Salerm 21

It's really sad (or maybe really good) that I have almost all of the products that you've listed. lol.

ORS Repl. Packs, AO HSR, Giovanni Direct, Lacio Lacio, and Keracare definitely get the thumbs up.

Girl, I have almost all the products on the list. If I don't have it, I've tried it in a salon somewhere... PJism is a mother. LOL!

Do you mix the two leave ins together and put them on your hair? And do u mix the two conditions together and use them? Thanks!

Yes, you can but not often. You can cause a protein overload if you use a mixed leave-in everyday. You have to know what your hair needs. Mushy hair needs more protein while dry, brittle hair needs more moisture.

hi, miss key 10-en-1 conditioner contains hydrolyzed wheat protein,

Kiyah, this is correct. Wheat protein binds with the hair's oxygen and hydrogen, locking moisture in.

One product you left off is the "Little" Silk hair cap, a hair care maintenance tool. Silk is similar to a protein like our hair and helps hair to maintain moisture and lessens breakage. I found this product on line and it works miracles and maintains my hair in between salon visits. Oh, by the way, my hair is natural! Here's to more beautiful hair!
