yeah, i've read too much air drying can cause brittleness, esp in wintertime...but i think you live down south? hahaha, cold weather doesn't really apply to you...are you putting any sort of moisturizer in it for when you air dry it?

I did the same ole thing I always did; my hair just stopped working with it. :(

yay, glad to see you taking some time to blog. Well, I airdry always but like you sometimes it doesn't work for me. I just try to switch up my products to achieve the desired result.
Anyway, take care!

Girl I go through the same thing. Air drying is great when Im just relaxed up until im like 7-8 wks post...after that it takes a lot of work for it to look and feel right. I have no clue how to roller set...plus im scared of combing my hair with a whole bunch of new growth..how do you do it?!!..lol

air drying does not cause brittleness...but you'll probably want to put a leave in conditioner and some oil on the hair while it's wet (if relaxed) so the hair doesn't dry hard. The relaxer makes hair dry...and since a lot of blacks tend to have curly hair (curly hair is a dryer type hair)...it's just really dry after relaxing...it needs as much moisture as you can give it...so, just wash and add a leave in and oil...works for me. My hair is way past bra strap lenght and i believe i'm a 4a hair type. I haven't blow dried regulary in about 4 years i'm guessing...I'll do it when i'm getting a trim or cut, or before I get a relaxer (this makes it easier for my mom to get through the new growth since she relaxes it for me)

The same thing happened to me in reverse, at first my hair hated it but with some fine-tuning my hair has come to love it.
