Product Name: ApHogee Keratin 2 Minute Reconstructor
Price Range: $6.99-$8.99
Company: ApHogee (http://www.aphogee.com/)
Catch Phrase: This concentrated blend of keratin amino acids, botanical oils, and vitamins does wonders to restore strength and softness to hair that requires a deep, penetrating treatment.

What I Say: I was turned off by this product since it had Mineral oil, but since I wasn't going to be using it daily anyway, I decided to give it a try. I slathered on about one ounce on my dry hair, focusing on my roots and ends. I left it for seven minutes and rinsed it out. My hair was sooo soft and detangling was a breeze-- which is weird since detangling ten weeks post is a struggle. This is a keeper! And the smell is great.

Product Tip: Try it on dry hair.

i just bought this; actually i bought the entire line after watching this girl named ateyaaa on youtube. anyway my question was: did you apply a conditioner after washing out the reconstructor or did you proceed with styling products like leave in and oils?

I did a conditioning wash after with a moisturizing conditioner. If I didn't, my hair would be snapping off. LOL. I also used a homemade moisturizing leave-in.

I love this stuff too, it makes my hair feel good and after I rinse it out in my kitchen sink people always come in my apartment and say it smells reeally nice.

This is the one I use because the other Aphogee reconstructor sounded scary as hell!

LOL. It sounded too strong for me... Animal protein is strong!

everyone talks about this product, but I saw Ateyaa use it on Youtube and now i read you talking about it and...

I'm 13 weeks post and my NG is bitching!!!! However, what do you think would happen if I used it considering I use Mega Tek on my scalp daily and as a 5 minute DC twice a week. Protein overload? But I surely need something for that NG cos this week, I can't get to my scalp and I've been wearing hats all week. My kids keep asking why I'm hiding my hair. loL!

Girl, ApHogee plus MegaTek would for sure equal protein overload! You could definitely use it if you follow it with an EXTRA moisturizing conditioner. But no air drying! You would have to rollerset.

Thanks for the tip. I just super DC'd overnight and my hair is feeling good right now. I don't need no kind of protein overload. God knows it!

Thanks!
