Product Name: Herbal Essences Hello Hydration
Price Range: $3.99 (for each)
Company: Clairol Herbal Essences (http://www.herbalessences.com/us/)
Catch Phrase: Let us soak it to ya. We're all about the moisture, so let us quench your tresses with lush hydration.
What I Say: For some reason, any shampoo from Herbal Essences tends to leave my hair a little dry. This shampoo honestly left my hair a little on the dry side. The conditioner was great though. I've been using this conditioner for co-washes and as a moisturizer (diluted with water of course). Although I'm not a big fan of the shampoo, the conditioner is a keeper.
Product Tip: Mix a little bit of the conditioner with water for a great moisturizer.

hey belle, this is off topic but i noticed my edges were thinning. what do i use for it?

Start off by doing scalp massages. That's important. Then, use a growth aid like Boundless Tresses or MTG. After, make sure you take a vitamin like Biotin or MSM, since they're specifically for thinning hair. Also, add sulfur to your diet (like Garlic).
P.S. Have you tried the Cayenne Pepper Stimulant?

i have biotin and msm but haven't started it because i don't have any orange juice. i have the powdered msm and i heard it's best taken with some vitamin c.
i also take garlic pills. good or bad?
i have heard of MTG. what is it exactly and what does the actual product look like? is it the human formula (versus the one they make for horses)? it is from the brand mane and tail?
sorry for the 21 questions but i'm freaking out. it's been such a battle with my hair. every time i fix one problem (moisture and breakage) something else pops up. and this is my first relaxer in 12 years!!! i wish i kept my natural hair. it was so cute too. it was nappy but it was the model nappy. iono how to explain it. ill post a pic. lol.
ps: thanks so much for explaining thus far. we seem to have the same hair type and everything you've used for your hair has worked for mine so i read you religiously.

oh an di haven't tried the cayenne pepper stimulant. what in the world is that?

I think the garlic pills are fine. MTG is a growth aid designed for horses and it's made by a company called Shapley's. Boundless Tresses is similar to MTG, but was designed for humans.
Do you brush or comb? I found that once I eliminated daily brushing and combing, my edges grew back nicely. The only comb and brush I use is the Jilbere comb and Denman brush.
Keep your regimen as simple as possible: Shampoo, condition, and deep condition weekly. Use a reconstructor like Affirm 5-in-1 or ApHogee 2 Minute every two weeks. And of course, moisturize and seal daily or every other day.
As for the Cayenne Pepper Stimulant: http://coarsehair.blogspot.com/2008/09/healthy-hair-recipe-cayenne-pepper.html

I'll try boundless tresses after testing out MSM/Biotin for a month. I comb my hair every 2 days or once a day and I sometimes brush my edges with a boars bristle brush.
My regimen is exactly as you described with a cowash in the middle.
Thanks so much for all your help Belle!

great tip for the conditioner as a moisturizer!!! I do this already with my Aussie, but why dilute?!?! i just use a dime size of the aussie and seal with coconut oil. does it make it more water based therefore more moisturizing?

@ Southern_diva_natural
I diluted it because I like my moisturizers on the light side. It really works for me and I don't use up much of the conditioner which means more saved up for co-washes. LOL. I'm cheap.
