Hey, lovely people! Lately, I've been rocking scarves, banana clips, twistouts, braidouts, and flexi-rod sets. Why? I'm currently wearing protective styles that don't reveal my true length since I'm hiding my hair until December. Well, here's the discussion:
- What protective styles have you been wearing (weaves included)?
- How long do you plan on wearing said style(s)?
- Why are you wearing said style(s)?

I have kinky twists right now. I've had them for two weeks and plan to keep getting them redone every 4 weeks for about 6 months to grow out and give my hair a chemical break.

well its getting colder, so when it gets cold enough i'll start twisting for the fall/winter. when january comes around i put my hair i braids since i'll be in transit from new york to washington state, and i wont have the time for my regular maintaince and i'll need to figure out where everything is before i can take my hair back out.

I'm wearing wigs right now and plan to keep it up until the end of the year. I have some terrible breakage and damage from blonde highlights and a DIY relaxer that I did to soon after the color. I plan on keeping my ends trimmed up in the interim to promote healthy hair...

You'll get passed this, Torrie, just keep on conditioning your hair and treat it like silk.

You already know me and my buns Belle, lol. I plan on wearing my buns till I reach BSL (Bun to BSL challenge on BHM). Im wearing buns to keep my hair moist and to protect my ends since I dont like trimming often :-)

I've just been bunning it consistently. I plant to keep bunning until I get to APL initially, then BSL. I also wear braids in between relaxers not only to protective style, but to help with stretching also.

I've been consistently been wearing weaves. I love it. Keeps my hair protected and unbothered from heat, the environment. I'm going into my fourth month of wearing weaves. And a majority of my hair hasn't been relaxed since May.
