Even though your hair might be healthy, uneven ends can cause stress and even tangling! Why? The hair tends to "catch" on itself because of the various lengths. Longer strands will take the biggest hits. A blunt cut can help tremendously since the hair is one length. Less stress, tangles, and more uniform hair growth.

My hair is layered from a tapered cut i got a year ago! I love my layered hair! Does that count as hair that will have a hard time retaining length?

Jmilz, you hair should be able to retain length. Just take time when combing/detangling. Hair that has one side longer than the other etc. is more at risk.
I have a blunt cut and its been one of the best things I've done for my hair. Its heavier, hangs better and looks healthier. No bangs either!

Not necessarily, you should be able to retain length if you take proper care of your hair.
