Most people don't know damaged natural hair when they see it, they just assume it's the hair's texture and type. But damaged relaxed hair, looks a hot stankin mess. Chopped up, ate off, dry, brittle, all around hell. And in my case, it's easier to change hair problems with natural hair than it is with relaxed. Relaxed hair I just cut off because there was no hope, and why bother, it's relaxed anyway.

Also, I haven't had heat damaged hair because I care about it so much I take all precautions necessary to avoid it including very rarely applying heat.

I would have to say damaged Natural since damaged Relaxed is "easier" to repair. I've seen a relaxed hair trimmed and hacked, conditioned, and in much better shape then when it started. I've seen Natural hair go product crazy, chopped, and regain its manageability. In then end, I'm not sure if it matters since damaged hair is damaged hair, right? However, a person on one end of the spectrum (whichever) would try to convince you that their way is the gospel. Come on, different strokes for different folks.
Whichever way you decide, just take care of it. It should never MAKE you, COMPLETE you, or REPRESENT you. Hating on what the next sister is wearing shows self-hatred and disrespect. Love what YOU have.

I guess I would say relaxed damaged hair is worse. I can't really say the other option is any better though. As Dwana said above...damaged hair is damaged hair.

both are bad but damaged relaxed hair is worse..... the hair is already "chemically treated" so its slightly damaged anyway plus the dryness, breakage, and heat damage...

Either way, both need to be cut.

I'd say damaged relaxed hair. It seems like when it isn't healthy, every time you relax it, it just gets weaker and weaker. The strands snap so easily, and giving it a break from chemicals or combing can be hard/tricky sometimes.
