Product Name: Janelle Beauty Diva Smooth Kit
Price Range: $29.99
Company: Janelle Beauty (http://www.janellebeauty.com/)
Catch Phrase: Diva Smooth is a pure natural alternative to chemical based hair relaxers. Diva Smooth is based on a finely tuned mixture of all natural ingredients that when applied together with a flat-iron, your hair comes out naturally smooth and healthy.

What I Say: I was super excited to try this product and it was pretty good. I clarified my hair and applied it throughout my hair. By the way, this product is MESSY! It was dripping everywhere! I hurried and placed the plastic cap on, waited forty-five minutes, and took off the cap. My hair was hard as heck for some reason. I rinsed it out, shampooed, condition, and blow dried. My hair was still pretty kinky, but a lot softer than it was prior to using the Diva Smooth. I flat ironed with the serum provided and my hair was just okay. I slicked it back into a nice ponytail and went to work. My hair had a nice wave to it towards the front, but the back was still pretty kinky. I think this product would work best for 3c/4a hair types. 4b girls would need about two bottles to make the hair stick straight! Besides all the messiness, I liked it.

(Review of product done before big chop)

Product Tip: Mix it with your favorite moisturizing conditioner!
Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥ (3/5)

Thanks so much for the review. Though your results were not completely satisfactory, I am still hoping to find that product that will allow me to transition without doing the big chop at this stage.

Did you really think a second bottle would have straightened your hair? Or were you being facetious? I might try two darn messy bottles if you think a second application would have given you the desired straight results.

Thanks again and your hair will be shoulder length at the end of year.

Don't cry - it will grow back before you know it.

Best,
Missy

Thanks for the kind comments Missy! I think one bottle might be enough honestly. Had I used the Mizani Thermasmooth line after, I probably would've had better results.

when you used diva smooth did u get under the hair dryer...it does say to go under the hair dryer. Especially if you have extremely tight curls. And the thermasmooth after for the shampoo and condition is a great idea. I would also use that product behind it for even better results.
I say dont gie up on it yet eep trying it or go to the salon and let them do it for you the results will be better because someone else can see your whole head.

Thanks for the suggestion! I will have to try it again in a few months and see how it works out using the Mizani line and sitting under a dryer.

I used Diva smooth this weekend and besides it being very messy, it worked we. Upon washing the product out; my hair felt smoother. I had to deep condition it afterwards and it blew dryed and flat ironed very straight, similar to when I had a relaxer but not bone streaight. This is a ok product, I think they should offer more for the price.

Diva Smoooth is all I will ever need as a Natural Diva! Maybe those who have not experiened remarkable results didn't apply it correctly or have a good flat iron because I have been compliments left and right. I have 4B hair and it is definately not easy to straighten, not even with chemicals. Diva Smooth gives me managability, smoothness, and it is beautiful and bouncy. I'll never use chemicals again. Ladies, if you don't want a home job with home results, just hit up your local salon and let them give you the TRUE Diva Smooth results!

I have a pretty good grade of hair..Its super thick, average length to shoulders. I tried the Diva Smooth and it was very messy; I think that it is just an alternative..Its not gonna give you the same results as a relaxer..It made my hair smoother; kinda softer..I think it might straighten thinner hair way better than than thick..It was still really thick afterwards unlike when I used a relaxer. I give it a 2 1/2- 3 star rating.. The best way I can put it is its better than tryin 2 just flat iron w/o any alternative. I have a combo of wavy;curly pattern..Now I've cut it all off and I like it a lot..I'm going natural for real so I'm just gonna let it grow back.

Oh yeah btw I thought to myself when I used Diva Smooth "This isn't nothing, but Raw Honey" lol so, if I were anybody thinkin about tryin Diva Smooth I wld just get some raw organic honey n mix it with some oil/moisturization or water and apply with a brush n see how it works..I thgt even to use the honey alone by itself insteading ordering again 2 c how it worked..Hope this helps
