Rating: Excellent -- WOW! (10/10)

Product Name: Fruit of the Earth 100% Aloe Vera Gel
Price Range: $5.49-$6.99 (24 oz)
Company: Fruit of the Earth (http://www.fote.com/)
Catch Phrase: Made with the most concentrated amount fresh Aloe Vera leaves on the market, this cooling gel forms a protective barrier that helps retain moisture and promote healing.

I LOVE this gel. I didn't think it would be as wonderful as people suggested, but it's pretty awesome. I've been using it daily for a few weeks now for my wash n' go's. It leaves my hair super soft for hours. I highly recommend you give this gel a try. The only downfall is that this product isn't technically "natural." Has anybody tried it? Share your experiences!

Ingredients: Aloe Vera Gel, Triethanolamine, Tocopheryl Acetate, Carbomer 940, Tetrasodium EDTA, DMDM Hydantoin, Diazolidinyl Urea.

I have been wanting to try this product too and i was reluctant as well. Ironically, I use it to make my Shealoe mix, but I've never used it straight. I will definitely give it a try!

I orginally purchased this product to aid in lighting scars as recommended by someone. But then I started using it on my hair just by chance one day when I needed to smooth down my edges and have been hooked ever since. Unlike other gels, this one does not make your hair hard and it moisturizes as well. It's a household staple for me.

I used to use these to twist my two-stranded twists before I got locs. It moisturized and left a really nice sheen. There are so many other ways you can use it too.

This is interesting . . . I tried this gel in the summer and it made my hair feel very sticky. Maybe I got a hold of an old batch.

I just bought some last night, and could not wait to try! But, I'm not sure how much of the product i should be using. Can you give us some insight as to how much you use?

Thanks!

@ASJ227: I have the bottle with the pump and I use about eight pumps.

I love this product also really keeps my hair soft, moist, and for extra definition I use mousse with it.

No and I can pass on this one. If you notice, this product contains DMDM Hydantoin...a formaldehyde releasing chemical/preservative.

I guess I'll just have to propagate my Aloe Vera plant and keep a steady supply growing :)

Unfortunately, I tried this product it didn't work for my hair...it left my hair feeling really dried out once the actual product dried.
