Well, after seeing the great results Southern Tease of Mane & Chic had, I recommended them to Dalilredmama. Her hair came out so gorgeous! I decided to try them for myself and I just loved the curls. It took about 2 hours for me to do them carefully since it's easy to pull out hair if you're not careful. I used a little anti-frizz serum on my hair while putting on the CF's to keep the curls from dropping when I took them out. All in all, I liked the curls. The price for the kit Dalilredmama purchased was $54.99 which to me is a little crazy. Anyway, just thought I should post this for you guys.

Hello,
Thanks for this post! I have been looking at these roller for a while now. I have managed to get a similar look with smaller magnetic roller but I digress. I like rollers with a special purpose so I am interested in these...lol
Are these rollers hard? I dont know if you remember those old spiral rollers that will give you a similar look but there is no way you can sleep in those and they can rip your hair out of your head. So are these rollers comfortable?
Thanks

Can these be used on kinky/curly hair?

@ PJD
The CF's aren't too hard, they're just stiff. I managed to sleep in them somehow, but they weren't that comfortable to be honest. You kinda have to find a good spot to lay your head.

@ kimmikimkim
Yes, they can be used on kinky/curly hair.

How many curlformers did you use? I brought a few packs a while back (curiousity got the best of me) but I brought the blue and green ones which were way too short... I gave them to my sis.

I'm planning on buying some more but wanted to get an idea of how many extra long and wide packs I would need.

Any info you can provide is helpful! =)

Dalilredmama actually bought these in a box that came along with the hook. I think it was 40 long & wide and 6 short & wide. :)

Hi, your progress is really encouraging! I was wondering whether you comb out each section before you put on the roller?

hi. this is my first time on your blog and i really like it. i'm a healthy textures, mane & chic junky so i went out and bought Curlformers too. It did take me along time to do them the first time but the drying time was only like 30 to 40 mins when it takes me a good 2hrs to dry anyday of the week. I wanted to know how you wore you curls b/c i am trying to ware mine pulled out (for that oprah look) and the ends are not staying curled. for some reason the end of my curs keep straighting out after the second day and they are not getting wet in the shower.

After taking out the Curlformers, I pull each curl in half. With the way I sleep, I always end up putting my hair in a ponytail.

I've never used curlformers, but I have used the flexirods and gotten the same results. The flexirods are much cheaper than the curlformers. I got mine on Ebay - blue, orange, and purple for $20 including shipping. If you go on Ebay and search for 288 rollers (yes, its that many) it should come up..HTH

At the same time, another Bentley GT industry was developing at a fast pace, that of the brand imitations like Bentley Motors . Starting as a black market of poor sloppy imitations, the watch replica industry has grown so much that Bentley Motors T is now tolerated or even embraced by some brand manufacturers. Nowadays, cheap Navitimer Watches are only cheap in relation to the original product.
