Well, it's been four months since I hacked all my hair off! And I love my hair even more than I did Relaxed! I really do.
Positives
People love touching my hair and compliment me.
Shrinkage is my new way to hide how long my hair really is.
Hot oil treatments with Castor oil are the bomb!
Negatives
Still waiting for more length to wear a frohawk...
Growth
I haven't been measuring, but since my hair looks big and thick, I'm assuming the growth is good.

hey! my 18 year old daughter.. upon finishing her freshman year at college chopped off her incredibly healthy 14 inch permed highlighted sandy brown hair! after 9 months without a perm.. i thought she'd give in, i thought she'd cave, she did not! so i'm reading your blog to understand what's the motivation, and i want to thank you! for your blogs.. you guys are doing your thing with the natural movement.. bravo! from a long time straighter than straight perm wearing diva!

Thanks Kendra & SLP, I really do love being Natural. It's the best decision I've ever made.
@Anonymous, I'm happy that you like the blog. I was so accustomed to just relaxing every two months that I never realized how much easier and fun my own natural hair was. I do hope your daughter enjoys this journey, because it's a wonderful one.
